Hello fellow bipedal primates and welcome to my tiny corner of the illustrious virtual world we so fondly refer to as The Internet.
Seriously!? Another blog?
Well, it’s simple. I have a lot to say and frankly those around me are just about fed up with hearing me speak. So, I intend – through this blog – to lighten the load on those closest to me by spewing my thoughts and rants out into the digital great beyond.
What could you possibly have to say, that hasn’t already been said?
In all honesty… probably not much. However, I am well read and tend to be quite passionate about the things I find most interesting and believe to be right in the World.
So what are you most passionate about?
Again, that’s quite simple to answer. Life. Not so much the spiritual ‘What is the meaning of life?’ interest. I intend to focus more about how to achieve the things that you want most out of life and how to figure out what those things really are.
Sooo… you’re qualified to make these assessments and discuss such complex topics?
Qualified? I suppose. Was Bill Gates qualified to start Microsoft? What about Warren Buffet and his many ventures? Larry Ellison, Sheldon Adelson, Paul Allen? I hardly think so. Yet, years down the line and they are 4 out of the 5 richest people in the America. They’re all also College Dropouts. Yeah big deal, you say? What about Li Kashing and Amancio Ortega? Both are worth $20 Billion and both… are High School drop outs. Now, please don’t assume that my whole blog is going to be full of posts suggesting that you immediately quit school and pull your kids out of while you’re at it. I’m not even a college drop out myself. Quite the contrary, I graduated at the top of my class and I only ended up $60,000 in debt during the process.
Oops… almost started to rant there. Anyway, I think you probably get the idea. I’ll go ahead and end this post by saying that this blog will focus on my interests, which are oddly focused and varied at the same time. To find out what I mean by that – I suggest you check out my About page.
As you likely already noticed, I find this pattern of successful dropouts to be quite intriguing. If you would like to see why I get so caught up in this topic, go check out the interesting facts over on my ever-evolving drop outs page.
That should just about do it for now. I look forward to reading and responding to your hopefully numerous comments.
