This will be brief since Perry Rod over at marketrap.com has already covered this news bit quite nicely in his article entitled Outrageous: Electronic Arts Inc CEO Riccitello Buys His Own Company and Closes it Down Two Years Later.

It’s absurdly ridiculous that this situation has gone without legal review. How this is remotely legal is well beyond my understanding. EA is laying people off left and right (several of my friends have been effected by these layoffs) and EA’s stock prices have plummeted. Yet, John Riccitello is pocketing a huge executive salary AND paying himself (plus his friends and previous business associates) bonuses by buying up his old companies. CEO of the year? EA to be the next Enron? Ridiculously despicable.

PS: I don’t really want him to die… it’s meant to be said in the voice of South Park’s Cartman and was inspired by an episode titled “Scott Tenorman Must Die”.

I am the kind of guy that likes to learn just about anything. When I get interested in a subject I get intensely passionate about learning that. I read buy books, go to seminars, contact relevant people and organization (I love coffee/lunch dates with local gurus… but that’s another story), and I look in every nook and cranny of the Internet to ingest any and all information I can.

Recently, I became interested in using Twitter for more than keeping up with my friends and family. So, as mentioned above, I went out on my rabid hunt for knowledge. I purchased four books (which I intend to write reviews for – so check back soon for that) and a few somewhat gimmicky online products.

At this point, I am quite happy with almost all of the information that I now have available to me. However, one product stands out as such a blatant rip off that I felt the need to write about it first to insure that others don’t fall into the same trap that I did.

Seriously!? Another blog?
Well, it’s simple. I have a lot to say and frankly those around me are just about fed up with hearing me speak. So, I intend – through this blog – to lighten the load on those closest to me by spewing my thoughts and rants out into the digital great beyond.

What could you possibly have to say, that hasn’t already been said?
In all honesty… probably not much. However, I am well read and tend to be quite passionate about the things I find most interesting and believe to be right in the World.
